Welcome to Duet, a trusted community for sharing your commute and more!
Duet supports two types of ride services - carpooling and shuttle.
Carpooling is a consumer focused service. That means as long as you installed Duet rider app and created an account in the app, you can schedule carpools with other Duet members right away on your own. You will be responsible of setting up, taking and paying your carpools if you take a ride offered by another Duet member or getting reimbursed by your carpool partner if you give another Duet member a ride. There is no third party involved in carpooling and Duet is a digital carpool platform for its members to meet and ride together. In your Duet app, you can access the Carpool service anytime.
Shuttle is an enterprise service. A third party typically corporations or business entities engages and pays Duet to provide specific type of transportation service to its employees or members. Hence the shuttle service is only made available to Duet members who are qualified for such a service, i.e., employees of a company that contracts the service. If a shuttle service is available to you, you can tap the Shuttle tab in your Duet app home screen to see the booking button. If it's not available to you, you won't able to open the Shuttle tab in the app.
To get started with Duet rider app, you will
1. download the app on App Store if you use an iPhone or Play Store if you use an Android phone.
2. create an account using the app
Tap "Join Duet", and then follow the instructions on screen to create your account.
3. schedule a carpool or a shuttle ride if a shuttle service is available to you.
